Philodendron Imperial Red

Philodendron Imperial Red is one of the numerous hybrid philodendrons produced by gardeners in recent years. This is a low-maintenance plant that can tolerate a wide range of circumstances as long as it is kept warm.

Autumn, Imperial Green, Black Cardinal, Moonlight, Red Emerald, and Imperial Green. Although many philodendrons are climbers, an Imperial Red is classified as a self-header. On a single stem, the glossy, brilliant green and red oval-shaped leaves are quite close together. As it develops, its rigid, almost visible stem maintains a Philodendron Imperial Red erect and beautiful. Because these plants are poisonous, they should be kept away from pets and children.

Light

A Philodendron Imperial Red can tolerate low light conditions, although it grows quicker and looks better in medium light.

Water

Soil

For all varieties of philodendrons, use a rich, quick-draining soil; you may need to add a little sand to your regular soil mix if it seems too heavy.
