Tillandsia Xerographica (Jumbo Size)

We are excited to introduce you to the magnificent Tillandsia Xerographica, also known as the Queen of Air Plants! With its stunning recurved leaves and gorgeous blossom spikes, this plant is truly one of a kind. And the best part? It’s one of the easiest plants to care for!

Native to El Salvador, Guatemala, and southern Mexico, Xerographica is accustomed to arid, desert areas where it doesn’t rain for months. As a result, it can withstand bright light and dry periods longer than most plants. Xerographica gets most of its moisture from morning dew and is a slow-growing, long-living plant.

To keep your Xerographica thriving, we recommend soaking it for 10 minutes once a week. If your plant needs more water between soakings, spritz it with a spray bottle 2-3 times a week. Remember to bathe the plant upside-down, as it gets its water from its leaves rather than its roots. After watering, gently shake out excess water from the center of the plant and place it in a well-ventilated area to dry within 4 hours. This is crucial to avoid root rot.

Please note that it’s important to avoid placing your Xerographica in direct sunlight or near heaters/air conditioners, as it can harm the plant. Instead, keep it near a window for intense indirect light. If natural light is not available, office fluorescent lighting will do. It’s also best to avoid direct sunlight to prevent plant burn.

Tillandsia Xerographica prefers temperatures between 50-90 F and requires sufficient air movement and humidity to thrive. We hope these care instructions help you enjoy your Xerographica’s slow growth and long life. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
