Lady Palm (Rhapis Multifida 100cm)

Crucial Care Tips

  • Light – Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid direct sun exposure, as it may scorch the leaves.

  • Watering – Keep the soil evenly moist, allowing the top inch to dry out between waterings. Typically, watering once or twice a week is sufficient. Avoid waterlogging, as Rhapis palms are susceptible to root rot.

  • Fertilizer – During the active growing season (spring to summer), feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength once every 2–4 weeks. Organic compost can also be lightly worked into the soil to improve fertility.

  • Repotting – This slow-growing palm requires repotting every 2–3 years or when roots become crowded. Use well-draining potting mix and a slightly larger container to accommodate growth.

  • Other – Lady Palms are resilient but prefer higher humidity to maintain lush foliage. Brown leaf tips may indicate low humidity or over-fertilization. Trim dead or yellowing leaves at the base to encourage fresh growth. If pest issues arise, such as spider mites or scale, opt for a gentle insecticidal soap or neem oil spray.
