Crucial Care Tips

• Light – Thrives in bright, indirect light or partial shade. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light may slow growth.

• Watering – Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Watering 2–3 times per week is generally sufficient, depending on humidity and temperature.

• Fertilizer – Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer every 2–3 months during the growing season (spring and summer). Alternatively, use a diluted liquid fertilizer every 4 weeks to promote healthy growth. Avoid excessive fertilization to prevent salt buildup in the soil.

• Repotting – Repot every 2–3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use well-draining soil with organic matter to retain moisture while preventing root rot. Licuala Grandis has a slow to moderate growth rate, so frequent repotting is unnecessary.
