Philodendron White Princess

Care

Soil

Plants have a preference for specific types of soil over others. Philodendrons, such as the White Princess, do best on soils with more organic matter. Sphagnum peat moss is ideal for growing this plant. Also, make sure that the soil can be adequately drained and isn’t overly compacted before you plant it.

Light

A plant enthusiast knows that these creatures cannot thrive in the absence of light. For White Princess Philodendron to thrive, it needs medium to bright indirect sunshine. If possible, avoid direct sunlight since it might cause the leaves to burn. Direct sunlight for 2-4 hours in the morning is acceptable. Fortunately, this Philodendron plant thrives inside, and the west or southeast-facing window is excellent because it will receive primarily indirect light, which is what it needs.

Watering

If you want to prevent your houseplant from decaying, you’ll need to provide it with enough moisture to keep it alive. Overdo it, and the plant won’t be able to grow well. The White Princess is a remarkable plant since it can live in water. It is necessary to keep soil-bound individuals wet but not soaked. Take note of the soil’s characteristics. Add extra water if the top half is dry. Lukewarm rainwater is ideal for those who are permanently submerged.

Temperature

A healthy White Philodendron can tolerate temperatures between 55 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit (13-35 degrees Celsius).

They are happiest when in an environment somewhere in the middle of 75 – 84 degrees Fahrenheit (24-29 degrees Celsius).

Aim for 59° Fahrenheit (15° Celsius) or higher in the evening.

Humidity

Considering that these plants come from the tropics, they demand high humidity levels. Some gardeners have even observed that these plants will produce lush and glossy leaves if given the appropriate moisture. Plan to spray your Pink Princess plant every day. In the winter, when your plants are dormant, they should not be misted.

Fertilizer

Improve soil fertility while the plant is actively developing by scraping some compost into two soil without disturbing the plant’s roots. Feed the plant a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer, such as fertilizer For healthy Growing, diluted at a rate of 1 teaspoon/litre of water. Feed every 6 – 8 Weeks. Adding too much fertilizer might damage your plant.
