Light

Best grown in bright indirect light and can tolerate some partial sun. Avoid harsh full afternoon sun as it can cause leaf burn, and avoid very low light conditions as the plant may become sparse and leggy.

Watering

Water when the top 2–5 cm of soil is dry, keeping the soil slightly moist but never soggy. In Singapore, this typically means watering 1–2 times per week indoors and 2–3 times per week in shaded outdoor areas. Overwatering is the most common issue and can lead to root rot.

Soil

Use a well-draining soil mix to ensure healthy root growth. An ideal combination is potting soil mixed with perlite and bark, which helps improve drainage and airflow around the roots.

Fertilizer

This plant is a light feeder and does not require heavy fertilizing. Apply a balanced fertilizer such as 15-15-15 every 3–4 weeks to maintain healthy growth.
