Masdevallia ‘Orange’

Temperature: During the day, the optimal temperature is between 75 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit, while at night, it is between 60 and 65 degrees Fahrenheit. As long as the temperature extremes aren’t protracted, they’re tolerated. The plant should be healthy as long as you maintain a decent temperature.

Light: Masdevallia requires bright diffused light, which can include a little sun (not direct sunlight) for up to two hours a day to bloom.

Water: Masdevallia grows all year round, unlike certain orchids that require a drying out time. Plants need to be soaked in the morning and allowed to dry off before the sun goes down. Water twice a week in the summer is usually plenty.

Repot: A standard bark or orchid mix should work for Masdevallia, which are epiphytes. At least every two years, or when the potting media begins to deteriorate, you should repot Masdevallias.

Feeding: Using one teaspoon per gallon of water, Feed weekly. EzGro NPK Foliar Blue Fertilizer 63 works excellent for it Growing well & Healthy, Feed every week with an EzGro NPK Foliar Pink Fertilizer 67  while the plant is flowering.
