It has big, softly ruffled, and slightly waxy-looking leaves that create a dense, low cluster. It is simple to care for; it may survive in shadier areas of the house, although it prefers a brighter environment.

Home care: It’s acceptable to water liberally when the plant grows, but keep it drier in the winter. Regularly mist the leaves with water to keep them moist, then rinse them under a cold shower to remove the leaves. Repot every couple of years and make sure the winter temperatures are above 10°C.
