Gardeners’ Day Out 2015 will be held at Singapore Botanic Gardens for this first time this year instead of HortPark. Whether you are a beginner at growing plants or an avid gardener, you are welcome to join us at the Gardeners’ Day Out this year. There will be different talks and demonstrations by expert and community gardeners on topics such as home vegetable farming, the know hows on building your own herbs and vegetable garden, talks on heritage orchids, orchid growing and troubleshooting workshop, help and advice on horticultural pest management and free plant clinic consultation for all. Admission is free.
Toh Garden will be participating at the OSSEA Orchid Sale. This year, we will have large selection of young orchid plants for beginners to try out at home. Aside from orchids, we will also have some Tillandsia for sales with prices starting from $5 per plant. Orchids such as the rare black Arachnis flos-aeris, heritage orchids such as Arachnis Maggie Oei, Aranda Peter Ewart, new and recent hybrids such as Papilionanda Chua Chu Kang as well as some orchid species like Paphiopedilum bellatulum will be available.

The SOGA Orchid Appreciation event is open to public. It will not be held in Toh Garden but at Big Box which is right beside Jurong East MRT station.
No registration is required, you can also bring orchids to enter the competition and win cash prizes. =)
