Tillandsia xerographica XXL
Queen of the Air Plants, Xerographica! There is nothing like an air plant with recurved leaves and gorgeous blossom spikes. It’s also one of the easiest to care for! They can withstand bright light and dry periods longer than most plants. Xerographica is native to El Salvador, Guatemala, and southern Mexico. They come from arid, desert areas where it doesn’t rain for months. Xerographica get most of their moisture from morning dew. Due of the harsh environment, Xerographica grow slowly and live long.
Care
Soak your Tillandsia Xerographica for 10 minutes once a week. If your plant needs more water between soakings, spritz it with a spray bottle 2-3 times a week. This plant gets its water from its leaves rather than its roots. So bathe them upside-down. After watering, gently shake out excess water from the Xerographica’s center. Place your air plants in a well-ventilated area to dry them within 4 hours. Xerographica must dry entirely within 4 hours to avoid root rot. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight or near heaters/air conditioners to avoid harm. Xerographica prefers intense indirect light. Keep your Xerographica near a window for daytime indirect light. If you don’t have natural light, office fluorescent lighting will do. Avoid direct sunlight to avoid plant burn. Tillandsia Xerographica prefers 50-90 F temperatures. It requires sufficient air movement and humidity.
